I had a feeling that after Magenta it's time for a more delicate proposition.
Last year, I noticed a lot of use of peach-like shades in foreign projects. For me, Pantone's choice of the year is definitely a plus. I am against one color in the interior - purple. I still remember Ultra Violet being chosen as the Pantone color of the year a few years ago.

This year brings us a clear trend towards natural, warm materials and subtle colors, especially in the context of interior design. This aesthetic increasingly values authentic, high-quality materials such as wood or stone, combined with various metals, giving the space a unique and modern character. In this context, stone, especially travertine, is becoming a key design element, this year. Perfectly matching with various types of metals. However, the role of wood cannot be ignored, as it gives the interior a unique character. The Pantone Peach Fuzz color is a perfect complement to wood. For the first time in a long time, I am very happy with the choice of Pantone! Color of the year, Peach Fuzz, reminds me of tanned skin. Peach will be a challenge for designers, who are used to designing in subdued colors. It is worth taking a look at the designs of Hanna Brzozowska from Inbalance, who designed buildings in this color last year!
When I asked my clients about their opinion on the Peach Fuzz color, I heard voices of opponents: "It's a total pastel color straight from blocks from a large slab", "Flashback from the 2000s", but also supporters: "it reminds me of the shade of a coloring pencil, which I had as a child", "a beautiful apricot".
In my opinion - there is potential! I am happy with the vision of expanding interior colors, and this year's Pantone selection, makes me optimistic.
Color of the year Peach Fuzz as an addition or the entire interior?
Literally translated, the name Peach Fuzz, aptly brings to mind delicacy, softness and subtlety. It's purpose is to envelop us with its shade and saturation, introducing bliss and good mood to our surroundings. However, the question is - how to best integrate this color into interiors - should it dominate in accessories or play the main role on walls, furniture or textiles?
This decision depends on individual preferences and the intended effect. For those, who want a delicate accent, accessories in the PANTONE Peach Fuzz shade, such as pillows, rugs or small decorations, may be the perfect solution. For the more adventurous color enthusiasts, walls in the main room ,painted in this rich shade, are the perfect way to express individuality and introduce an energetic atmosphere.
It is also worth remembering that the color of the year 2024 is a continuation of the trend that was started in 2019, when the coral pink, called Living Coral, reigned supreme.

There are incredibly many shades in the Pantone color palette. Each of them is perfectly composed and thought out. Designers are eagerly waiting for the announcement of the top shade. Ideally, when the world of design immediately falls in love with a new color, then we (the designers) naturally incorporate it into our interior designs, and the color stays with us for years. It's worse if the selected color is difficult to arrange, there is nothing worse than forcing it.
The Pantone color of the year is certainly a good inspiration, but not a necessity. Therefore, let's trust ourselves and choose colors that make us and investors happy.
The choice of Peach Fuzz, as the color of the year 2024, is not accidental. In this difficult time, when the world is struggling with many challenges, we need a color that brings hope and comfort. Peach Fuzz is just such a color. It's interesting how interior designers will combine different, fashionable shades, adapting them to changing preferences and arrangement styles. The final choice depends on the creativity and vision of the designer and how we want the Peach Fuzz color of the year to blend into our everyday surroundings.
