Interior trends 2023

Utworzono: 13-02-2023

The first month of the new year is already behind us so it's time to consider the most influential interior design trends for 2023. We have asked our friendly designers about the most fashionable styles, the latest interior design trends, and their predictions for the current year.

The most fashionable interior styles 2023

What will the most important interior design trend look like in 2023? What will surprise us with fashion in interior design?

Klaudia Dawidowska, Create Design

Subtlety and dynamism - these will be the characteristics of the trendiest interior designs in 2023. Among the hottest trends, I observe MINIMALISM, which will appeal to lovers of classic style. Minimalism also provides a great foundation for those who desire a touch of avant-garde.

This year, fashionable interiors will focus on expressiveness, color accents and large-format shapes. Certainly, the best binder for these elements will be eclecticism. In the eclectic style of the interior, the art consists in combining seemingly incompatible elements into a coherent whole. Therefore, in order to create a fashionable arrangement in an eclectic style, you must definitely choose the theme of the interior. It can be a color, material, or decor, which, when used consistently, will bind the space together.

Interior design trend 2023 - fashionable interiors closer to nature

The ecological trend in interior design has been on top for several years. The use of everyday products, materials and furniture, created with respect for natural resources, is a hot topic in every area of life. Are the interior design trends for 2023 also following them?

Agnieszka Kornacka, Wykrój Wnętrza

This year, ecodesign focuses not only on weaving greenery into the fabric of the interior but above all on the use of natural materials in interior design. For example, rattan, sisal, seagrass, and raffia fit perfectly into fashionable ecological interiors.

Agata Piltz, P2 Design

In 2023, we are definitely turning to nature. Simplicity, earthy colors and natural materials certainly reign nowadays. Of course, this is largely due to the ecological trend in interior design, which still strongly determines the contemporary design.

In the coming year, the interiors are to be not only aesthetic, but also well-thought-out and conscious. We will start investing more in high-quality interior furnishings that will stand the test of time and beautifully emphasize the minimalism of modern interiors.

Interior design trend 2023 - the color of the year or fashionable colors of the earth

The Pantone Institute, as every year, announced what color will reign in the world of design. One of the most obvious trends in interior design seems to be Viva Magenta - the color of the year Pantone 2023. This trend was quickly picked up by Agata showroom experts. In the interiors of Agata salons, there is a clear reference to this most fashionable color today. Should we follow him?

Justyna Wróblewska-Kowalik, moDUO

Not necessarily. The color of vivid fuchsia, due to its expressiveness, should rather be limited to accessories in the interior. Although Viva Magenta brings a lot of energy to the rooms, its role is mainly color accents, rather than the dominant feature of a fashionable interior.

Agnieszka Kornacka, Wykrój Wnętrza

In the new year, the most fashionable interior arrangements will be bathed in the palette of white, i.e. in beiges, creams and sandy shades. The wood of kitchen tables, bedside tables and coffee tables is modeled on beached wood, often light and bleached. On the other hand, the more vivid colors of herbs, muted pink or sage green will dominate the leisure furniture and textiles.

The fashionable arrangement of the walls is also important in designing. Browns and beiges, which will reappear in our interiors, will become the basis for displaying very subtle accessories.

In the world of interior design, it is worth remembering that minimalism requires extraordinary intuition and taste. It looks beautiful because it likes good and high-quality materials. That is why STONE is an absolute must-have for a fashionable interior. The color palette should correspond to the colors of the stone and the colors of the earth. Warm beiges, whites, greys, browns and graphites will be fashionable. Everything in a matte, raw structure.

Mikołaj Sołtysiak, Studio Moosh

In the coming year, the most fashionable kitchen arrangements will be simple, bathed in warm white - broken only with black or natural wood decor.

Interior design trend 2023 - fashionable accessories

Fashionable interior design is based on the right balance of accessories. What furniture and interior design elements will be an inseparable part of a fashionable interior?

Agnieszka Kornacka, Wykrój Wnętrza

Certainly, it is worth betting on accessories made of wood in a natural color. Metal fittings such as brushed copper and nickel will contrast with the natural colors that will fill the interiors of 2023. They will undoubtedly give the whole sophistication.

Agata Piltz, P2 Design

We should maintain a certain asceticism in decorating. Simple interiors are characterized by the lack of unnecessary decorations and accessories. If we decide on a decorative element, it is worth betting on ceramics. Ceramic dishes combine tradition with modernity, giving the interior a unique character.

Modernist shapes with organic forms will continue to be fashionable in the new year. Roundings, curves and arches will be present both on the walls and in furniture and accessories. The interiors arranged in this style are full of contrasts and geometric forms, including rounded shapes of furniture and decorative lamps that refer to nature. Current trends are also an opportunity to introduce "madness" to our interiors. All kinds of mirrors in "strange" irregular shapes, furniture that is a kind of art and decoration in one, extraordinary paintings, sculptures, lamps and original decorations.

Interior design trend 2023 - fashionable vintage furniture

Justyna Wróblewska-Kowalik, moDUO

Among the most fashionable furniture, there are still those that refer to the mid-century times of the last century. It can also be authentic, restored vintage furniture, which dates back at least 20-25 years ago. Going a step further is also the fashionable arrangement of the living room in the art deco style, full of noble materials and luxury. It is worth investing in unique furniture and interior design elements here.

Interior design trend 2023 - fashionable interior and its textures

No more flat finishes! The year 2023 is the time for all kinds of grooves, 3D paintings or base-reliefs. Stucco remains with us still, but now in a richly decorated version. Combined with a minimalist interior, it gives a modern effect.

Mikołaj Sołtysiak, Studio Moosh

Lamellas, which have been popular for several years, still appear in interior design. I predict this trend will continue to wane. What is definitely worth betting on? Matte - will stay with us for longer.

Interior design trend 2023 - kawaii style

The latest kawaii style comes from Japan and, according to many, fits into the most fashionable interior styles of 2023. The candy trend, fashionable colors of the walls full of pastels, rounded shapes of a minimalist nature, create a cozy atmosphere. However, the designers agree. Such short-lived fads come quickly and go away just as quickly. Therefore, it is not worth succumbing to them, but consistently applying the basic principles of composition and the art of space design.
